ESBICM membership is free for life and always will be. Plus is an optional annual upgrade for members who want more from the society — and a way of helping to keep it running, so that lifetime membership stays free and the teaching stays affordable.

Join after registration has closed
When seats are full or enrolment has closed, Plus members can still apply, subject to availability. For courses, you may join a little after the start and catch up through the recorded lectures.
Thirty minutes with senior leadership
One session a year, one to one — a case, a career question, or an idea you want to think through.

STILL FREE FOR EVERYONE
Live classes, Journal Club, the e-library, the Mentorship Forum, The ICU App and our books stay open to every member, with or without Plus. Nothing has been moved behind the upgrade.
WHY PLUS EXISTS
How free teaching stays free
Good teaching costs something to make and to host, even when it is given away. Plus lets members who are able to contribute do so, and they get more in return — deeper teaching, fuller resources and closer contact with the society. What that support makes possible is the rest of our work reaching colleagues for whom a conference fee is out of reach and a subscription unthinkable.
Plus is always a choice, and a welcome one. Everything free membership offers stays exactly as it is for those who stay with it.

Upgrading
Upgrade in your member panel
Sign in on this website and choose Plus. The current fee is shown there, kept up to date. The ICU App does not display fees or take payments — if you are on your phone, open a mobile browser and go to esbicm.org.
Everything opens at once
Your badge, the recordings archive and the rest are available in your member panel and The ICU App as soon as the payment goes through.
A year later, you decide again
Plus runs for twelve months. It does not renew on its own, so when the year ends you renew it yourself if you want to continue.
