Live Classes
Live classes run through the year, free for every ESBICM member and taken by colleagues from our Global Critical Care Faculty Network. We try to keep every session practical, so that what we discuss and learn can be applied at the patient's bedside in our ICUs.
THE ESSENTIALS
How a free class works
Our online classes run throughout the year. Here is what to expect before you join.
Book your seat in the member panel or in The ICU App.
Classes are hosted on Google Meet, or occasionally Zoom, and the joining link appears there once you have booked.
Sessions are usually held in the evening, Indian Standard Time (IST).
Classes run once or twice a week, and each listing shows the date and IST start time so you can convert it to your own time zone.
Seats are limited by our platform's capacity.
Booking as soon as a session is announced is the surest way to get one.
We record and share sessions whenever we can, though not every class.
When a recording is available, Plus members can watch it in the member panel at any time.
Our teaching is driven by what the community asks for.
Post your topic suggestions in the Community section of The ICU App, where both faculty and fellow members can see them.
CERTIFICATES
Live classes are for learning rather than assessment, so no certificate of attendance is issued. Formal certificates come with our structured, examined courses.

Topics we choose
Our faculty pick subjects that come up at the bedside every day, and return to them whenever a major guideline or trial changes how we practise.
Topics you ask for
Members tell us what they would like covered. When several ask for the same subject we schedule it — and a single request is enough if the topic matters that much.
