The ICU Channel ...sharing what’s critical

Established on 9th July 2020, ESBICM initially made its YouTube presence known as ‘Bedside Intensive Care’, which later transitioned to ‘RegularCrisis’ and finally to its current name, ‘The ICU Channel’, on 27th May 2022.

The channel was launched as a platform to upload and share the regular physical classes conducted by Dr. Ankur Gupta in the ICU, recorded due to the COVID pandemic. Over time, these videos proved beneficial to doctors and nurses in other hospitals, states, and even countries. As the demand for additional lectures grew, the channel expanded its offerings. The pivotal moment came when an emergency resident saved a patient’s life after watching one of these videos. This event inspired the decision to create a dedicated educational channel for doctors, nurses and paramedics working in Intensive Care. Thus, “The ICU Channel” became the official YouTube channel of ESBICM.
