As many of you are already aware, Dr. Ankur Gupta has been elected as the National Representative of India for the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) for the 2025–2027 term.

As he prepares to step into this role, the team here at ESBICM (Educational Society of Bedside Intensive Care Medicine) wants to ensure he has the full support and insight of our entire community. This position is a vital bridge, connecting the bedside excellence of Indian intensivists with the global stage in Europe.

Our Goals & Expectations

We want to move beyond just being members and become active contributors. To make the most of this tenure, we are looking to you for:

  • Clinical Insights: What are the unique challenges or bedside innovations in your ICU that the global community should know about?
  • Research & Data: Sharing findings that represent the true landscape of critical care in India.
  • International Collaboration: Suggestions on how ESICM can better support Indian doctors through training, guidelines, or joint trials.
  • Knowledge Exchange: How can we contribute our unique skills, high-volume experience, and clinical knowledge from India to the global pool?
