ESBICM grants lifetime membership at no cost. If any individual solicits payment for membership, please report the incident to us immediately.

ESBICM Membership Benefits

  1. Lifetime* Membership to ESBICM is free for healthcare professionals working in or interested in Bedside Intensive Care, particularly critical care doctors and nurses.
  2. ESBICM members have access to live online critical care classes conducted regularly by ESBICM.
  3. Certain exclusive ICU lectures are available only to ESBICM members in their “Member Panel.”
  4. ESBICM endeavours to secure paid lectures from other organizations at discounted rates for its members.
  5. Members receive early, and sometimes exclusive, access to workshops and conferences organized and conducted by ESBICM.
  6. Submissions of interesting ICU cases and scenarios by ESBICM members for educational purposes are given priority for publication on the ESBICM website, The ICU Channel, ESBICM newsletter, and other official ESBICM platforms.
  7. Only ESBICM members can apply to become ESBICM Academic Volunteers.
  8. Additional benefits are continually added to the member panel as ESBICM evolves in its journey.

ESBICM Membership Approval Process (updated October 2024)

  1. Register and create an account on the ESBICM Membership panel here.
  2. Verify your email address.
  3. Complete and submit your profile in the Member Panel. Your profile will be reviewed by the ESBICM team:
    • If all details are correctly submitted and satisfactory, the ESBICM team will approve your membership and issue your Membership Number/ID.
    • If the details are incorrect or unsatisfactory, ESBICM will request clarification. Upon receiving timely clarification/documentation, the ESBICM team will approve your membership and issue your membership number/ID.
    • If the details remain incorrect or unsatisfactory even after clarification, your application will be rejected.
  4. Once your ESBICM Membership number/ID is generated, your Member Panel will be fully accessible to you.
  5. The entire process from document submission to ESBICM membership approval or rejection can take 1 to 4 weeks**

Note: For students still pursuing their medical or nursing degrees, can upload their latest professional or semester mark sheet. If you’re in your first year, your admission letter will do just fine. We will consider those documents accordingly.

Please note: The ESBICM MEMBERSHIP Number/ID is different from the ESBICM FORUM login credentials. Your ESBICM Membership Number is issued only after your profile has been verified and approved by the ESBICM team. It qualifies you for a range of membership benefits—including access to the dedicated member panel.

In contrast, ESBICM FORUM login details are separate and can be created by anyone simply by registering on the forum. Forum registration is open to all individuals who wish to ask questions or participate in discussions related to critical care—membership with ESBICM is not required to access and contribute to the forum.

Updating Your ESBICM Membership Information

To update details of your existing ESBICM Membership, please submit a request through the profile section of your ESBICM member’s panel. Details here.

Important Note for existing ESBICM members or those who have applied for ESBICM membership before October 2024

ESBICM members who received their membership number or applied for membership before October 2024 need to verify their email and update their profile in the member’s panel. Their accounts have been created with their email as the username and their mobile number as the password. A new ESBICM membership number will be issued to them upon successful completion of their profile in the member’s panel.
If still unable to log in, use the “forgot password” link to generate a new password and then log in. A new membership number will be issued upon profile completion.
