ESBICM Faculty & Volunteers
Join ESBICM as a Faculty Member
The Educational Society of Bedside Intensive Care Medicine (ESBICM) is sincerely privileged to invite dedicated faculty members to join us in advancing bedside intensive care education across India and internationally. We are profoundly grateful to those who generously share their time and expertise with our growing community.
As a valued member of the ESBICM faculty, you will have the meaningful opportunity to:
- Enrich our academic programs and workshops with your insight and experience
- Participate in both online and in-person educational sessions
- Contribute to the development and review of educational materials and case discussions
- Mentor and inspire healthcare professionals at all levels, including physicians, nurses, and paramedics
- Connect with a global network of critical care practitioners, broadening your professional impact
We warmly welcome healthcare professionals who share our vision and passion for empowering frontline care to consider applying for faculty membership. Your involvement will not only further our mission but also provide a unique opportunity to expand your reach, engage with a diverse community, and help shape the future of intensive care both locally and globally.
In the spirit of transparency and respect, we wish to share that, due to the voluntary nature of our society and current financial constraints, this is an unpaid role. The selfless contributions of our faculty lie at the heart of ESBICM’s commitment to delivering free, accessible, and high-quality bedside intensive care education to all.
Applications are thoughtfully reviewed by our Academic Committee, with the utmost appreciation for your expertise and dedication.
Joining ESBICM as faculty offers the chance to be part of a growing international community, contributing to the advancement of bedside intensive care while enhancing your professional profile worldwide.
We are truly honored by your interest and would be delighted to welcome you into our community. If you are inspired to support this meaningful journey, we warmly encourage you to apply.

Join ESBICM as an Academic Volunteer
If you’re not joining as a faculty member just yet, you can still play a vital role in the ESBICM community by becoming an Academic Volunteer—even students are warmly welcomed to apply. Our organization is built on the passion and selfless contribution of volunteers, with founders and contributors coming together to freely share their knowledge and time. We are deeply committed to our shared vision of making high-quality, bedside intensive care education accessible to all.
Because of the far-reaching impact of our platform—especially through The ICU Channel on YouTube and other initiatives—we’ve heard from dedicated individuals in all corners of India and throughout the world, eager to bring ESBICM’s mission to their own communities. In response, we created the ESBICM Academic Volunteers program, which is now a driving force for delivering local, area-specific educational activities wherever they are needed.
As an Academic Volunteer, you’ll take an active part in identifying and responding to the training needs of your ICU, hospital, city, or state, and work closely with the ESBICM team to arrange relevant classes, educational materials, and opportunities for discussion. Your insights and feedback, shared via email and WhatsApp, help our community continually evolve. Just as importantly, you’ll raise awareness of ESBICM and The ICU Channel among your peers and fellow healthcare professionals, ensuring more people benefit from our resources.
One of the most rewarding aspects of volunteering is the chance to connect and learn from a vibrant network of volunteers not only across the country but around the world. This experience provides a space for you to exchange ideas, share best practices, and be inspired by others on the same journey—all while expanding your own understanding of intensive care.
As an Academic Volunteer, you’ll enjoy benefits such as direct connection with the ESBICM team, priority participation in activities, access to exclusive classes, opportunities to serve as a speaker or moderator, and a supportive environment in which to cultivate your own leadership and academic skills.
Eligibility is simple: you need to be an ESBICM member, an allopathic doctor or nurse, and have genuine enthusiasm for critical care medicine.
Academic Volunteers can participate in a range of activities suited to local needs—whether through online classes and workshops, interactive discussions, or physical events (where logistics permit). Every activity is designed to support both learners and volunteers themselves.
Getting started is easy: fill out the application form and our Academic Committee will review it. Once approved, you’ll receive more details. Volunteers are asked to carry out at least one educational activity within six months, with ongoing participation keeping your membership active. We ask for advance notice of your events, and while ESBICM doesn’t permit charging for events, a nominal pre-approved fee for local logistics is possible.
Please remember—this is a purely voluntary role; no remuneration is offered. Yet the real reward is the impact you create: advancing clinical skills, demonstrating leadership, uplifting your colleagues, and—most importantly—improving care for critically ill patients in your local community and beyond.
If our mission resonates with you and you’re ready to be part of something meaningful and uplifting, we warmly encourage you to apply as an ESBICM Academic Volunteer. Join hands with a global community of like-minded individuals, help shape the future of intensive care, and experience growth, connection, and fulfillment along the way.
