Isccm textbook new edition

So I have seen the book, in fact I have it also. I would like to give you an example is like in our UG days when we used to read Robin's Basis of Pathological Disease and the Harsh Mohan textbook of pathology. So I would compare this as that only.

Still my first choice of reading the textbook of critical care is by Irwin Rippe and the other is by the Hall. And the way I compare this ISCCM book which is the second edition. For me I have read few sections of it. They have tried to cover extensively but the feel which we get is like extensive or premium sort of notes for that matter.

This is my personal opinion. So if I want to choose a text I will still go for Irwin Rippe latest edition followed by Hall textbook of critical care medicine. That's my only opinion. The ISCCM book is very nice but I feel that they are good premium notes as of now.

I actually got the book last week and have read few chapters. It was going well and i have been enjoying reading it. Language is simple , understandable, concepts are explained nicely but suddenly i feel some important topics are lacking in depth explanation of the core principles. and i have felt the need for other books and AI. I have not read whole of the book so my opinion should not be taken as judgmental, it is my personal feeling as of now.
