I am asking question in management of hypertensive emergency in patient known hypertensive on oral medication
Do I need to continue preexisting oral medication when starting IV drug
Or need to wait for 6-12 hours after BP stable after starting the iv medication

Because I didn’t find this point mentioned clearly in the AHA guidelines
If yes/no is this mention clearly in the guidelines
